About Sofia
Sofia Hurtado Epstein has more than a decade of experience working on economic justice and rights-based sustainable development, with substantive international experience in Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
She has worked with philanthropy, governments, non-profit and international organizations, advancing portfolios on energy, transportation, green industrial policy, and fiscal policy, most recently as Associate Director for Fiscal Justice at Open Society Foundations.
She also worked at the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs leading the agenda for economic integration and cooperation with Central America and the Caribbean.
Sofia holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Centro de Investigacion y Docencia Economicas in Mexico City, and a Masters in Public Administration and International Development from Harvard University.
