About Alia

Alia is a sustainable finance expert with a strong track record in complex stakeholder management, fundraising, and building strategic partnerships across the private and public sectors.

Prior to joining us at RethinkX, Alia was Director of Partnerships at Green Story, a leading sustainability platform, where she led their Series A funding round and forged partnerships with organisations such as Bain & Company, IBM Consulting, and the Royal College of Arts.

Alia was a Co-Founder of Citizen Shareholders, an ethical fintech focused on democratising corporate governance. She has also served as Head of ESG at ReGen Future Capital, a sustainable private equity firm. Alia began her career in sustainable finance at the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF) - as Market Programme Manager, she drafted EU/UK public policy on behalf of 240 financial institutions overseeing circa £12 trillion of responsibly-managed assets.

Alia holds an LLB in Laws from the London School of Economics. She is a trustee of the Fashion and Textile Children’s Trust, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
